Transcendental Sonnet #337:
Three Days Before Three Days Behind

Terrible holiday storm in my mind
Sea-swells of memory crashing on me
Birthday before me and Christmas behind
Panic like cold wind and tears like the sea
Awake all night babbling like a madman
And all of this because of one bad man
A long time ago a lifetime ago

But yet it always happens in the now
And only the lonely will ever know
No one else will ever understand how
We are like aliens different but
Alike we share the secrets of the night
Silke knows the dark yet no matter what
She calls to me and leads me toward the light
