I'm making this thread to talk about prophetic visions and whether anyone has had them. On several occasions, I've had premonitions, but this isn't what I mean by prophetic visions. What I mean is, being wide awake, and then like suddenly being transported to another place. Like you're being suddenly transported into this vivid dreamscape where you see things happening in the future, like years or decades down the road. It's the most amazing thing. It's not like the future events were certain to occur, or at least I don't think they are, but they seemed more like possible futures. Mind you, I'm not talking about daydreaming or anything that's commonly experienced. I'm talking about being in the shower, wide awake, and then suddenly being entirely transported to this dreamscape where you witness future events. I had no experience of the shower while I was having this vision, and once I 'returned' to my shower, not that much time had elapsed (though it seemed like a lot more time elapsed during the vision), maybe 25 minutes.

It was the strangest thing! And I'm just wondering if any of you people have ever experienced anything like this.

P.S. I'd tell you what the visions were if they weren't so personal. I guess only time will tell if they're true glimpses into the future or not.

First of all, welcome to Mind-Brain. I don't believe we've met before!

I presume you say your vision was of the future, because the events [you can't yet tell us about] were 'new', and, therefore, not in your past.

Is this not telepathy?

There are posts elsewhere on site that may interest you.
Do a search for telepathy on all forums for all dates and they will be displayed for you.

thank you for replying. It's nice meeting you too. I searched around for definitions of telepathy but only came up with stuff like this - "Perception by means other than through the ordinary senses; e.g., telepathy, clairvoyance, precognition". Actually this was a definition for ESP, extrasensory perception, but same thing I guess. I"ve also seen telepathy defined as "Apparent communication from one mind to another without using sensory perceptions", but this is not what I experienced. I guess it could be said to be like a vivid flashback in which you get totally sucked into it and aren't the least bit aware of your surroundings, except instead of being a "flashback", it seemed to be a "flashforward", and it was very emotionally charged. Strange.
