Our Ever Flying Flag

There was a bridge over water
Where the flag still stands
On the land that men first stood
When the war began

The enemy has been dead for a while
As well as the conqueror too
The bridge has now fallen
Toward the east where the wind first blew

On the grass by the water
We placed a monument again
In memory of all the soldiers
It will forever remain

The driving force that led them to fight
To die for their children's freedom
All the time they have spent
We raise the flag unto them
