Transcendental Sonnet #325:
Dear Diary

The Sunday Night Opera is Fidelio
Celebrating the married love which I will know
Soon with my Silke she who is my heroine
Soon our own romantic opera will begin

The vodka has worn off and I feel much better
And I seem to be escaping from the fetter
Of Christmases past (I have felt like Marley's ghost)
Listening to this opera which I love most
(With the exceptions of Wagner and Richard Strauss)
I guess I'm all right tonight alone in the house

Antipasto salad (of course without dressing)
Delivered by a nice young man proved a blessing
Chased by copious quantities of spring water
I'm sure this would please my teetotalling daughter

Ah, I am sure your daughter would be very pleased. You know she only does it because she loves you. Oh that really dosent make it any easier for those of us who are chased around by people trying to feed us, now deos it? Well, maybe just a bit!

Love,
Dara
