Imagine if you already knew who won,
for a second you saw the victor with a smoking gun,
not a doubt of error nor room of mistake,
The future as you knew it had already been played.

Gambling is risky, risky fun,
but when your souls at stake
which odds will you take, 0 to 1,
should we call God's 'bluff' fake?

Your dealt the hand your given,
not because the dealers a wretch,
though it seem unfair, not worth spendin
but because hes overseer of the deck.

Life is more than a deck of cards, or a bet on who will win,
Not jumping blindly into a game everyone loses at,
but everything about it tells you not to put your dealt hand in,
going to that table or drawl booth where no one else has sat.

Bluffs are sometimes well disguised, hidden lies;
Truth is often taken as a story, open folk-lory;
What will you do when your 'riches' are spent,
when time and money can't any longer be lent;
one day the hour will come, when we will finally
come to the end of risky 'fun'.

I came to the end of change, life's pockets lonely,
to myself ,spent , to others a phony,
He came to me and bailed me out of debt,
no more living a loosing game, I no longer bet,
the stakes are to high, earnings to low ,
"what you reap is what you sow",
yet atlast Im free and joyful, although not because of myself,
but because of the earnings ,the mercy of that someone else.
