talking to an old friend
just wondering
when did it end?
we were so damn close, and now so far apart

thinking back to the school grounds
where all of my friends could be found
degenerates and low lives
i remember all the sounds

just wondering
when did it end?
this bitter guy
he was my friend

things just haven't been so great
the alcohol inebriates
the drugs, we use them to forget
and in the end, there's just regret

When you realized you weren't a kid anymore. It's really not that bad. You'll feel this way until you are around 21 or so, but life will pick up and you will become "responsible" and then you'll feel this way again when you are around 40ish. It's called LIFE IN THE FAST LANE.

I like your poem, too, BTW. I'm new to here, but I like your style, so I will read more if I can find them. Keep writing. smile.gif

Hey I like this, I guess its kind of how I feel know, looking at everything I left behind when I left high school. All of the people that never return calls... how everything changes. I hate it... but nevermind. I like this poem alot. The last stanza, and finishing line especially, really do finish it off to perfection xx

PS. I know that is not critique, but I wanted to respond. Sorry, please forgive me?
