What Happens……………

Life is about giving- what happens when there’s nothing left to give?
Life is about believing - what happens when you’ve lost your heart in it?
When you give everything you have each and everyday
With the hope that the sacrifices you make, in return will pay.
You tell yourself, your friends, and family- it’ll all be worth it in the end
Everything you have missed and how it really doesn’t matter you pretend
But soon it all catches up with you and you won’t be able to make heads
or tails
Relationships, tasks, friendships will all begin to suffer and then fail.
You are being spread so thin in each and every place
You find it hard to even fake your “happy face�
What happens when you forget what you were fighting for?
You begin to wonder if it’s even worth it anymore.
You can have all life’s luxuries and pleasures it has to give
But none of it is worth having if you have no one to share it with.
Don’t wake up one day and have so many “I wish or I regret�
Because you can’t turn back time and you can’t forget
We need to live for today and not for tomorrow
Because all you have in the end is regrets and sorrow.
