Transcendental Sonnet #259:
Heroes Face to Face

I always wanted to be somebody
I always wanted to be a hero
Emerging at last unbowed if bloody
From the strife of life score tied at zero
I see such dawning opportunity
If veiled by a certain uncertainty
As never has been given unto me

The uncertainty is only that of
Being a human being in this place
But I am so fortunate to have love
In my life and to be blessed with the grace
Of the beautiful Silke as my muse
No matter how much this life may confuse
I know we two are heroes face to face
