staring into a crowd
feelings of belittlement
faces there, lives unknown
emotions of love, happiness and sadness
problems of the times apparent
ocassional smirks and fits of laughter
cries and disgust hidden deep
creased clothes and groomed hair
inside deep hurt and thoughts of despair
society suffers under a goal of bliss
seek the wonderful, hope to succeed
realize the truth, prepare for it, understand it
truth is quiet, appearances are loud
I see these things, staring into a crowd

Hi ron4cab,

I like this work, and have to admit not having read anything similar (as far as I can remember), on a topic which should be more discussed.

Most people do not really want to know the Truth of the world.
Or, to be more specific, they want to know the Truth, but not be constrained to live within the Truth, or face up to it.
We all tend in varying degrees to 'hide' those things with which we find difficulty in coping.
But coping allows life to go on!
So that is what we all try to do.

Best regards, Bill.
