like the sun's rays
you reach out and warm the cold of turquoise light
to the core
suprising, unyeilding, my leaves yearn for more
as dawn becomes bright
you wind 'round my soul
and when you return to your loving stars
my heart swirls, stings, dizzy, hurting
never my sun, no matter how high i reach
conflicting thoughts, frivolous wishes
leaving me torn inside
and as you return each dawn
i revel in your presence
i worship your grace
as it tears me inside
this pain wont subside
wishing you could see
wishing to know
have you ever
just once
felt...
anything more..
nevermind..
and when you say hello
closure laughs in my face[/b][/b]

I can relate to this personal torment, once held as a personal triumph, of sorts.
A very endearing write, written in sheer painful truth.
Nice job, very well expressed.

Lovely words, But I don't get the final line. Can you explain please.

What it says to me, H, is that he/she can not find closure when his/her heart still melts within her/his presence.
But, I could be wrong.

Dear Aiyana
I just had a sentient moment. I don't know what the last line means, but I understand it. I get it.
Thanks for drawing me back to this.

Interesting. I interpreted the last line slightly differently; namely, he cannot find closure until she becomes 'his' sun, but because he's too shy to reveal his feelings to her, he's never going to obtain closure, at least until his feelings subside or move onto other things.

It is good though, isn't it?

what strikes me is the rhythm and tempo. It starts low, builds up this mightly climax and then comes crashing down with a simple "nevermind..". The "and when you say hello, closure laughs in my face" captures a feeling/experience I have known but never expressed, nor have seen expressed, so brilliantly before.

I can't stop reading this. It almost nonchalantly draws you in but when you reach the end you know you have been hit hard.
