Stumbling in the dark
Gripping the walls for traction
Losing your hold
Tripping over strewn about masses
Eyes barely open
Brain not quite working
Sounds only of your
Thrashing about
Trying to find your way out

Darkness prevails
There is no light
Can’t find the switch
Lost within your world
Lost within ill lucidness
But reaching for hope
Reaching for reason
Reaching for a place
Where I don’t have to hide my face

Your outlook is dark
But still you hold hope, you hold faith
You believe in yourself
No matter how little, it’s still there
You want the best, you want to smile
But you’ve found a sense of comfort
Within this dark room
You can’t seem to let it go
But you have to let some of the light begin to show

What an epic tale of struggles, and strengths. Very good, imagery.
Pulls you in, and holds you, till you are forced to suck in a breath, at the very end.

WOW!
Can I ever relate!

My write, called: MENTAL DISEASE, does not waver too far from these same sentiments.

I hope you are still around, as we welcome these types of poems and talents, and, ever wish you to know, that we embrace your truths, and offer you many a shoulder to cry upon.

Blessed Be!
