Transcendental Sonnet #230:
Riddle

What a fool I am to write poetry
So some might scoff and mocking turn away
At this lattermost hour of history
The only thing left to me is today
Therefore I feel I must improve the time
However insignificant my rhyme

Yet at this selfsame twilight of the earth
I find that I am alone no longer
For I have died and undergone rebirth
I find myself each day growing stronger
Love has answered life's long-nagging question
Love has revealed the reason for all this
With the sweetest possible suggestion
The answer to the riddle is a kiss!
