Am I not man?

Am I not man, strong and radiant,
emitting a warrior’s glory?
Do I not emanate strength and intrepidity?
Do you doubt there’s solace and surety in my presence?
Can you not recognize the thirst in my eyes?
My thirst to provide, my thirst to protect, my thirst to love,
my thirst for honor and respect?

Am I not man, strong and radiant,
illuminating a warrior’s glory?
Do I not walk with my stave and stones;
stalking ferocious beast to satisfy your hunger and bones?
Would I not place in your hands, the heads of your enemies,
to give you a since of security?
Would I not give you shelter from the wrath of a venomous storm?
Would I not show love that’s almost tangible?

I am man, the hunter, the gather, the fearless warrior,
the father, the brother, and the son.
I’m the soul caressing husband.
yes, I am man.
There is comfort, protection, peace and love in my presence.

Most of this sounds familiar to me, as if I have heard this before, but am unable to place it exactly, so I will assume that this was not something I had heard before, but rather heard similarities in other writes.

Where it is necessary for man to show his strengths and dominance over his livilyhood to maintain his rightful place to his woman.

Very interseting, indeed.

Blessed Be!

Hey Hey
Am I Not a Man and a Brother? 1787 Wedgwood medallion copied from the seal of the Anti-Slavery Society. Wedgwood and Sons Ltd. Trustees of the Wedgwood Museum, Barlaston, Staffordshire, England.

Similar but not the same.

A prehistoric delicacy concluding with sentiment. Yes, familiar phrases but the progression towards love gives it a nice touch.
