Does anyone believe that your date of birth and the letters in your name vibrate to different numbers that influence your mind and life?  I've been reading a lot about numerology and name analysis within the past year and I find that most of the descriptions are very fitting.

I believe that if you desire the numbers to mean something, then they will. I too have been reading about it recently.

For me it's like astrology and horoscopes, they can mean something from one perspective, and maybe not from another.

Just out of interest, what values did you obtain from your firstname and surname, and did you go as far as working out what days of the month are significant for you, either positively or negatively?

I have 7 and 7 for my name, which apparently is rare!
My destiny number is therefore 5 which is pretty good by all accounts.

I checked out the days of the month and they don't really seem to mean much, but my life path number, which is a 7- is sooo me!  My first name vibrates to a 7 and my surname vibrates to a 9.

Laz I recognize the five also (which is one of my favorites by the way...I was just reading how fives supposedly tend to abuse the gift of life in the negative) but I have some fives in my name that compute to the 7 of course- certainly my dominant number- and I can see that description matching you since you have 7 and 7 for your name.  

That is unfortunately my point, you can read into it what you want  :(

It's like if you read all of the horoscopes in the paper at once, they will all relate to you!

As interesting as numerology is, i don't think i can bring myself to believe in it because its either just too vague to relate to me or just plain wrong.

But like i said at the start, if you find it useful then go with it. If you want it to work for you, it probably will  :)

yeah, I know what you mean...and I can relate to just about every number, even though I have two significant ones..

 I think that numbers and birthdates having significance is a simple human reaction to things.... you look for patterns with everything, and once you find one, it has to mean something. Sort of like the 9/11 garbage that comes up all the time..... most of the time it doesn't really lead anywhere.
 
 About horoscopes, a little while ago, Bill Nye the Science Guy pretty much proved them wrong for me through a scientific experiment you can do yourself. Take all the horoscopes and cut off the names and birthdates so you have just the predictions and put them all in a hat. Pick one out at the beginning of the day. It will be just as relevant as all the others.

 I find that the human mind can pull meaning out of anything.... this is why we have so many people in asylums.
