I have read the following on another site:

The following verse is from the Quran, (the Islamic Bible)

Quran (9:11) -- For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced; for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah; and there was peace.

Can anyone confirm this statement?
Best regards Bill.

Ahaha! Look at this guys response:

A verse from Muslim teachings.

Quran ( 9:11) -- For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced; for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah; and there was peace.

Is it coincidence that the longstanding emblem of the U.S. is the Eagle?

Maybe Saddam should have read the Muslim bible !!

yeah, right, buddy! Saddam so stupid cause he didn't read the Muslim bible! Yeah, let's put our thinking hats on for this one. Is eagle a coincidence?? Hmmm???

Get real! How can people be so gullible about everything they read before they find out more info for themself?

hi ganji,

Who has made a response?

hi rhymer,
I found that response posted on the internet. Because of such hooligans sending out such nonsense, like the Nigerian money scam, I'm cautious about anything and everything I read.

hi ganji,

Yours is a good approach to adopt.
It is basically the same as the words in green at the end of my posts!

Keep searching, brother!

Bye for now, and I hope you are enjoying this family we are, Bill.

First of all it appears that your 9/11 ayat(verse) of the islamic holy book (al-Quran) is found in attempts to link the 9-11 attack to the quran. The quran is the holy book of God as we believe and anything that mentions something in the future can be seen as a word of God. I for one know that the Creator will know His creation best, therefore the true holy book will explain creation. Check chapter 11, verse 110-111 (11:110:111) which is of the part 9 of the Quran. Keep in mind the date 9-11 and that the buildings had 110 floors and tghe other 111 floors. This ayah explains 9-11, poving that it is God's book explaining a future occurance. (all discovered by an Egyptian chemist years ago)
ganji
hey Yasseen, does hte Quran also predict the U.S. easily taking out Afghanistan and Iraq. Isn't the U.S. like the Hand Of God in your opinion?

Kind of makes you wonder who the real "Infidels" are!

Um...you guys are sorely mistaken. I recieved that same quote in an e-mail and decided to actually check it out. Afterall, e-mail hoaxes are a dime a dozen.

Guess what...it's a HOAX. As in FALSE. The word "eagle" doesn't appear in the Quoran. The "9:11" passage reads as follows:

"But if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, they are your brethren in faith; and We make the communications clear for a people who know."

Look up an online quoran and read the passage for yourself. There are many translations so I suggest looking at a few different ones.

Do your research people and stop being such sheep!!! Just because someone SAYS something is true doesn't mean it actually IS. These days you have to make sure.

(I found this while doing research on that passage after receiving it in an e-mail. Chances are I won't be back here again.)

From an expert go to website to read this for yourself using this link address: http://hoaxinfo.com/quran.htm

I quote the content here:-

Quran Twisted

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

First Published September, 2003

The Holy book of Islam is the Qur'an. It is broken down into Suras (or Surahs) which were the various sermons or messages of Mohammed. Believers have faith that these messages were handed down from God to the Angel Gabriel to Mohammed and represent God's last guiding principles for Humankind.

However, there is an e-mail message circulating that seems to suggest Mohammed predicted an American attack on Islam, as if he were some kind of Nostradamus. Of course, it was meant as a joke, since it numbered the chapter (sura) and verse for this predicition 9:11 (or 9/11...September 11th). Even so, the years I have spent researching and answering questions has taught me one thing: No matter how wild or stupid you make a satirical statement there is always someone dumb enough to believe it.

This is the case here as I have received countless e-mail messages this past summer asking me if this was a real message from the Qur'an. So here it is: NO, IT IS NOT A REAL QUOTE FROM THE QU'RAN!

The e-mail hoax reads as follows:

Since America is typically represented by an eagle.
Saddam should have read up on his Muslim passages...

Note the verse number!!!!!)

The University of California has published three different translations of Sura 9 (concerning Repentance, or Immunity) and Verse 11. None of them are vaguely like the message from the e-mail. They are as follows (names of the translators in Green):

SHAKIR: But if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, they are your brethren in faith; and We make the communications clear for a people who know.

YUSUFALI: But (even so), if they repent, establish regular prayers, and practise regular charity,- they are your brethren in Faith: (thus) do We explain the Signs in detail, for those who understand.

PICKTHAL: But if they repent and establish worship and pay the poor-due, then are they your brethren in religion. We detail Our revelations for a people who have knowledge.

BEWARE: ORIGINAL E-RUMOR LOOKS LIKE THIS:

"This is something to think about! Since America is typically represented by an eagle. Saddam should have read up on his Muslim passages... The following verse is from the Quran, (the Islamic Bible).

Quran (9:11) -- For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a

Allah; and there was peace.

THE EAGLE E-RUMOR

Seen that e-rumor before and here is the scoop on that lie (see below) - sorry if it bursts some patriot bubbles out there, but let's keep things real. It's when lies and rumors spread that create hate, panic and fear. And in return that leads to more hatred and more fear where people start demanding hate and discrimination being written into law --- such as Amending Constitutions.

Hate breeds hate, so let's not be a part of it - Bush has that topic covered and has all the help he needs already.

Here is the passage to which you refer:
[11.110] And certainly We gave the book to Musa, but it was gone against; and had not a word gone forth from your Lord, the matter would surely have been decided between them; and surely they are in a disquieting doubt about it.
[11.111] And your Lord will most surely pay back to all their deeds in full; surely He is aware of what they do.

So, correct me if I'm wrong, but I interpret that (especially verse 111) as you saying that the US has had their comeuppance. Is THAT what you are saying?!?!

The Koran is a very mysterious and sublime scripture that surpasses all scripture in obscurity. The passages can be interpreted ant number of ways, thus making many, many different schools of thought. How can this be such a holy book if noone can truly understand it? Some say they do, yet, I think differently.

Islam is a peaceful religion, and at the same time, a scourge that needs to be exterminated. Those who promote hatred and acts of violence are denounced by the very God that they say they are fighting for. They talk about ecil, yet they are the ones committing these evil acts.
I feel for all.

I'm not trying to offend, but you haven't read many different scriptures, have you? You have no basis for saying that the Koran surpasses all scripture in anything unless you have carefully read all scripture, though I suspect you've read little of scripture. The Koran is somewhat comparable to the Old Testament in the Bible, though it is much more poorly written and much less inspiring. The Koran cannot compare to the poetry, depth, and brilliance of the Gita and Upanishads.

About multiple interpretations, you can say this about any piece of literature. That's one of the beauties of metaphors.

I personally believe that it's a bit silly to look for deeper meanings with numbers of books or chapters or verses and relating them to a date or numbers of floors in a building or your birthday or your best friend's brother's dog's former owner's phone number.

You will very very very rarely learn anything that God truly wants to teach you by looking up a number according to a date or number of floors. The way to know what God has to say you is to read His word and to pray. God has sent us the Holy Spirit (he is the Holy Teacher and Comforter among other things) God wants a relationship with you. He will speak to us through His word, the Bible, and we speak to Him through prayer.

He gave us free will because He wants us to choose to love Him and to choose to have a relationship with Him.

I am in the military, I too saw this quote hanging in our office. At first I thought it was kinda weird. So I looked in the Koran and saw that it was a bogus passage. Not all servicemen and woman are like me and investigate things. But I say if it gives them motivation and helps them to fight harder. Than we should post more of those quotes of the U.S. kicking butt. It's good for morale.
rhymer
It is of course rubbish as you say, unknown.

I call it disinformation.

It's time for those who seek freedom to accept that disinformation is a tool the 'goodies' should use too!

Far less statements about terrorist bombings.
More warning to the public about potential hotspots instead.
No more videos from terrorists broadcasts.
More statements about success against terrorists.
Free passage to any 'free' country for known and recognisable terrorists forsaking terrorism [some community service, sincere apology to relatives, with payback and intelligence info. as retribution].
etc.
Dan
I would say that most of the western world is awash in disinformation concerning the evergrowing destructive sentiment in the Islamic world, to the point of chaos. Fact has taken a back seat to passion in this emerging war of cultures, with the western liberal culture in danger of setting much of the world back ages through its naive activities. Truly the west is becoming a paper tiger in its liberal-led refusal to accept the growing cultural war between itself and the Islamic world, thus being set up for much more pain than its liberal voices believe they are working to save it from.

the liberals have nothing to do with this fiasco. Blame it on Bush and his close ties with the Bin Laden family and oil and his blatant Israeli favoritism.
Dan
to be fair, I am blaming the 'liberal' mentality as a general form of naivity that is empowering the radical Islamic elements in their stated aim of destroying America and western civilization. The absurdity of the situation is evident when one recognizes that these combatants exploit all of the 'freedoms' and 'civil liberties' of American society as rather effective means by which to attack it. If we want to get specific, perhaps we should point fingers at the FBI and Bill Clinton as they, more than anybody, ignored the signs that were pointing to the NYC strike. Clinton was more worried about how he looked in the public eye than enacting substantive measures to grapple with the threat, and when GW got the reigns his administration simply didn't act fast enough.

read the book, it is interesting
Psylnz
One obvious symbolic reason for choosing the date 9:11 for the attacks was on account of the 9-11 emergency service. There is another passage in the Qur'an that is noted by the lines 9-11 that is worth taking a look at.

Unlike those who pull "quotes" off there favorite hate web sites, I have an actual copy of the qur'an. It has both Arabic and English translation. The translation was done by Muhammad Zarfullla Khan, president of the 17th Session of the UN General Assembly, who later served as Judge of the International Court of Justice at the Hague, of which court he later became president. Hence, I think the translation bears some degree of credibility.

Anyhow, In Chapter 2 (AL-BAQARAH), Part 1 there is an interesting passage. Lines 9 through 11 (get it 9-11?) of the original arabic writing read like this:

"Of the people there are some who say: We believe in Allah and the Last Day; yet they do not believe at all. They seek to deceive Allah and those who believe, but in truth they deceive none save themselves; only they percieve it not. In their minds is a disease; Allah through the continious manifestation of His Signs causes their disease to grow worse. For them there is a painful punishment because of their lying."

Now its often been put forward that Al-Qaeda regards America as a land hypocritical infidels. And the above passage of "deceivers who deceive only themselves" would probably describe how Al-Qeada feels about America. If they truly beleive this, could the date of the attacks been chosen based on this passage. If it was, maybe somebody should take a closer look at the Qur'an for other "dates".
Unknown
People who think they are clever by talking about how this is a complete hoax and how you should look up on the internet the "true" passages of the Quran should stop and think about how stupid they are... it's like "this site is a hoax, look at this one, it must be true" why? they have no reason, just because they want it to be true, they claim that you can't trust anything these days, so they tell you to go trust some site just because they tell you to. and you will all cry and think you are so cool talking about how stupid you think I am, but I don't believe the email about the Quran verse that talks about the eagle, but idiots who say that you should go to a web site to disprove something else put very little thought into what they say. That would be like a woman saying "you can't trust any men" and when asked how she knows that she says "my husband told me." if you think what I said it stupid, I don't care, because you have just prove to me the depth of your ignorance
