Amonkst
Hi everyone, I just discovered Mind-Brain and would like to introduce myself. I am a scientist who is very inerested in consciousness expansion, and the metaphysical (a seeker). I am a member of a few music forums and have tried to have some philosophical dialogues there but, in search of something more, I came upon this site. I hope to find a community here where I can share ideas and thoughts as well as gain insight from others.

I have only been studying consciousness for about a year and a half (triggered by a death experiece) but it has taken over my life, greatly changed relationships, made me very sad, and very ecstatic. It has caused me to question all and to find my true path. My life has become quite monastic, hense my name A"monk"st, consisting of great amounts of readings and meditation.

I feel as though I live in a completely different world now. I guess thats true since my awareness of the big picture has only been growing.

I am very gratefull for finding this site and hope to contribute all that I can as well as learn.

Respect.

Hello Amonkst,

You have chosen an interesting name - perhaps indicating a drift toward religion to help yourself come to terms with the death (as you mention) of someone close to yourself or affecting your life in some way.

Whatever, you are most welcome here.
Take your time, and perhaps ask for guidance, when you feel ready so to do.
There are many topics as I have no doubt you have noticed.
I am sure help, or at least comforting words will become available from some members who perhaps have had similar experiences.

If you have any queries on the use of the site, just post them under the second item in the General section.

I do hope you benefit from being a member amonkst us, and I look forward to your posts too!

Best regards, Bill.
