I've been going to this site for a few months now, and everytime I get to the page another page for the message board pops up too, so after a while, I was just like, sure, why not. Hope everyone's nice, I love talking to intelligent people.

hello Avalon, and welcome to our forum. My apologies for the pop-up. Really, I've just been waiting for someone to say something about it, and surprisingly enough, you're the first. I need to do something about it, sometime. Right now, I think the pop-up comes up once when you first visit the site (each time you visit), but I'll see about changing things so that, if anything, it comes up once, and that's it, even if you choose to leave the site and then return. It may be a good way to let visitors know about the forum, but then again, I hate pop-ups as much as anyone else (and perhaps more since they always seem to hijack my browser and max-out my cpu for minutes at a time), and so there's good reason for me to just do away with it altogether.

Anyway, I look forward to your posts and interaction.

Lol, the pop up didn't annoy me, it was just persistent, and I just liked this site so much that after a while I was going to sign up for the forum anyway. So wow, you must be Shawn Mikula... that's really cool, because not to sound like a kissass or anything, but I've read a lot of the theories and poems on here (One of my favorite being "On Lunar Beams") , and I thought you were an interesting and smart guy. You haven't achieved celebrity status with me or anything, but it's cool just to interact with you... I look forward to posting as well. ;D And again, I didn't mind the pop up, it did let me know about the forum and persuaded me to sign up for it, but after a while I think if people wanted to enough they would try to find the link to the site themselves, like I would have eventually, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

May I welcome you to mind-brain!
You are likely to know your way around already from what I have read.
If you have any problems, raise them in the general section and someone is sure to help you out. The chat room may become useful for this sort of activity, but it is not used alot at the moment because it is new!

I hope you enjoy posting here and reading other peoples works and ideas.

Bill's right. If you have any questions or comments, you can either post them, IM someone (a moderator or me), or talk with someone in the chat room. The chat room has been up for a few weeks now, and even though it's dead most of the time, I've had a few occasions where I've found it very useful for conversing with others in real-time and in a manner that's difficult or impossible to do on a message board or IM.

I know you said that the pop-ups didn't bother you, but if anyone reading this finds the pop-ups annoying, please let me know.... or better yet, vote here! http://brainmeta.com/yabbse/index.php?boa...y;threadid=2841
