Mine too, absolutely.  I know what pneumonia's like; my mother and my grandmother died of it, and I nearly did.  I had it for three months, but it's finally just about gone now.  I'm so sorry this happened to your father, Chrissy.
Hi-top
My prayers are with you too
My great grandma is in the hospital now and is dying shes in her 90s
it happened when she was in a nursing home and she bent over to pick up a glass of water on the floor
she fell backwards and couldnt get up
she ended up breaking her hip and the dr.s had to see if she was too old to get surgery
well she got surgery and now she is dying of pnemonia and she has a bad infection so u have to where ruber gloves and disposable robelike things to go see her because if you touch her her infectin will get worse

Chrissy, My thoughts and prayers are with you. I do hope your dad will be well, and you feel better soon. Good luck on those blood tests, I will pray for the best!

Hi-Top, so sorry to hear about your grandmother. I know how terribly hard it is to see a grandmother in the hospital, on tubes and machines. Very heartbreaking. I have been through that myself. My dear grandmother was walking her wheelchair, yes she wanted to walk and was using her wheelchair as support. She fell down, and actually died of a heart attack then and there. BUT...even though my grandma had a DNR oder, do not recussitate,  on the record at teh home, they STILL allowed paramedics to get her heart beating again. My grandma spent the next year hooked to machines, unconcious the whole time, until she died...again. It is terrible to loose a grandma who you love so much. But, I still love my my grammy, and I know she is ok now...

I will pray for both of you, and for Rachel as well
Love, Dara

Dara! Rachel is home and is doing well she did suffer a minor stroke during her surgery but they sent her home today the stroke affected her right leg but she was walking with a cane! She is an amazing girl with a iron will to survive! Thanks for praying for her with me!

Hi Top- I am so sorry to hear about your grandma! I know what iit is like to watch your grandparents go through some hard times! My grandparents rainsed me when I was younger they mean the world to me and are like my second parents!!! My grandfather has suufered cancer emphysema Tuberculosis as well as having two heart attacks one proving fatal and needing immediate surgery! I think stength runs in my family! He has falling backwards once and spit his head open on the coffe table and my grandparents live alone out in the country I remember my grandma calling me several times when my grandfather was ill! and I always tried to be there for them both my grandma suffers from onsets of dementia and is in denial that she has the disease! It is very heartbreaking to see her deterioating and she denies it. Just last week she feel out of her bathtub and hurt her back. She has hurt her back many times trying also to lift my grandfather when he was ill! Now they have the help of the area agency on aging who came in to put a ramp in the front of the house. My granfather has a walker now! The  have an emeregency alert system installed in their house in case of emergencies! There bedroomhas been moved downstairs so it is easier on them from climbing the stairs They put a new bathroom in for them and they have a cleaning lady and a special nurse who calls in on then or checks in once inawhile! They are in their eighties and heaven sent with so much courage and strength. The area Agency on Aging is a wonderful organization and needs to be praised for what they do for the elderly!
I love you all thanks again for caring!

Hi there every one.
It's me Rachel I have finally found you all and am now playing catch up.
Dearest Chrissy my thoughts and prayers are with you and you family and I want to thank you for the support and love you have given to me.

As Chrissy stated I am fighting a rare brain dissorder (AVM) and had my first surgery on the 24th of January,While they were doing the operation I suffered a Mini Stroke and lost the use of my right leg.The Dr's first told me that I would never walk again and would live the rest of my life in a wheel chair.I was never going to accept that and have moved heaven and earth to try and get some movement back in my leg and you know what?I am doing ok It's really hard and the easiest of movements are such an ordeal for me but I am a fighter and will keep working on my leg best I can.
On the better note my AVM is now reduced by 25% and I face the same operation again in about 6 weeks time.

My prayers remain with you Chrissy and everyone else who is going through hard times at the moment and am always around if you ever need me.
Take care all
Hugs&Love
