Dear ones I am here to tell you a story....of a survivor now in her glory
a story of
pain
heartache and despair
a story I must share
to offer hope in these trying times
to hold your hands
to be a friend
one who can truly understand
the battle you face
the pain you endure
as I was once there
now it is my turn to offer compassion
and someone who can care!

Today I come to you as a guardian angel
God has sent me here to offer you beautiful wings
he knows all of you will fly again
and with grace and dignity
you will all soar

your lives are just beginning
you have so much to explore
You are children of God
you are the special ones
he has chosen you all to fight this battle
he has faith in all of you..

You have the ability to conquer and fight
by struggling you will become stronger
with each painful step..
though it seems you are becoming weaker
when it all over
your strength will set you free
like little doves you will soar

God is so proud
up in heaven
cheering so loud with his harmonious
orchestra of fleeting angels...
bellowing chords of
sweet victory

He wipes away your tears
and he calms your fears
he hold you in his tender arms
he carries you when you are
unable to walk another step
he whispers words of encouragement
tosseling the wind..

you must open your heart to him
and he will fill it
to keep you going
when hope is scarce
he created you young ones
You are of his spirit
of his grace

his angels will lift you up
to go on to a beautiful place
the gates of heaven
all golden and true

noone will condemn you
thinking you are a disgrace
This world is judgemental
but God never is
he knows your heart
and what a struggle this is

when you are in a corner
crying he sits beside you
and embraces you tight
your tears fall in a safe place
it is alright..
for crying in the company of fear..
is a sign of strength
tears cleanse the soul
as a survivor
this I have grown to know

come on my child don't give up
you can win this fight!
When you ask him why you were
given this disease?
a battle that seems impossible to win
the answer so hard to find
you feel like an empty shell
traveling blind

when you look up to him with tear stain cheeks
days turn in to weeks
It never seems to go away
though you always pray
the pain lives on
the scars remain
You search for your purpose
hidden beneath the turmoil
blood is dripping out of your veins
coating the soil

you think noone can see
but God always does
now lift up your chin
go in dignity
and win
the beauty is at the end of the rainbow
of triumph...

I am a child of God
I was once in your shoes
I was once the little girl in the corner crying
thinking of dying
feeling the pain that would never go away
lonliness consumed me too
chains of anguish
held me in place
I prayed so dilegently
for God's gentle grace
I closed my eyes
as my world was no longer in my hands

God had so many other plans....
he held his hand upon my heart
and hours later I awoke
and my first words
perched upon my lips

"I am alive"

I saw bright lights around my bed
the tender wings
brushed against my head
I heard the glorious music...
whispers through the wind

Remember children of God..

you are special
cherished pieces of gold
you have to live
to let your story be told
now close your eyes children
God will heal you in time
so you can carry on
the legacy
to other children of God

You have my wisdom
and you have the strength..

go on my children offer your hearts
offer humble prayers
Let the wolrd know
God is always there...

This is a dedication to all who suffer Sheurmanns Disease
May you have the grace to win
the hope to live on
and the ability
to reach out to God

Children of God you will always be
and angels in flight someday you will be free
