HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SHAWN!

There seems to be some confusion about Shawn's birthday.  This is his twenty-seventh birthday TODAY, on the twenty-eighth.  So your greetings are not late at all!  "A word in season, how pleasant it is!"  Now if his birthday had been a day later, on February twenty-ninth, he wouldn't be having one this year; he would only have a birthday every four years.  Theoretically then, his age would only be a seventh of what it otherwise is.  Edgar Cayce's birthday was on a leap year, on February twenty-ninth; it was considered fortuitous, but to me it seems like only one seventh of the partying of a normal birthday.  SALVE FESTA DIES!  Laissez les bon temps roullez!

As you know, Shawn, my dear friend, I am an enthusiastic birthday booster, and I want you to really have a good one.  I had started a Happy Birthday thread for you, and we even got some very nice replies, during the twilight time between servers, when we were changing from one to the other.  Unfortunately, a lot of posts got sucked into the ether of cyberspace during that time, so I am posting my heartfelt wishes here once again for a happy day and a happy year for you and Tabitha, and for us all together, we who love  and celebrate you here.

thank you everyone for the thoughtful birthday wishes.  And thank you, Tabitha, for surprising me with this thread (and other things).  It's now 50 minutes after my birthday, and I'm sitting here reflecting on things.  It's funny how things, perspectives, moods, and mindsets change with age, but I'm not about to wax philosophical right now.  Just wanted to let everyone know that I had an enjoyable birthday, and to thank everyone for participating and sharing in this forum.

Looking forward to the year ahead.
