I'm just a passenger on a runaway train, but this song about Nepotismus Nonelectus, our emperor, gave me a much-needed and heartfelt laugh as we hurtle toward oblivion.  It is brutal and frightening living under the Junta, and about all we can do is make fun of the fools who presume to rule us, even as they destroy us.  May God have mercy on my country, and on us all, as the lights go out tonight all over the world.

In the ilk of this posting, but with a flavour biassed to the UK (I hope it makes sense to my friends over in the USA) I add this e-mail message which seems to be doing the rounds over here in the UK.

NEWS FLASH

A major earthquake, measuring 9.1 on the Richter scale has hit Albania this morning.
350,000 Albanians are missing, and over a million have been reported injured.
The country is totally ruined and the government doesn't know where to start with providing help.

The rest of the world is in shock:
Canada is sending troops to assist the country.
The U.S.A. is sending food, medical aid and money.
France is sending doctors, nurses and medical supplies.
Russia is sending tents, bedding and warm clothing.
The U.K. is sending 135,000 replacement Albanians.

These jokes are very funny, and they were very much needed. The whole war thing is making me wonder if this is the "end of days." That is one thing that really scares me.
Love Always,
