Question #1. How many times can you do a drug before you are addicted: Well, it depends on the drug, and the individual person. SOme drugs are known to have higher rates of addiction, as cocaine for example; while pot tends to have a low rate of addiction. It really depends on the person as well, if you are genetically predisposed to becoming addicted.
Question #2: How many times can you do it befroe your life is fxxked:
Well, this too is dependant on the individual person. I know people who smoke pot daily, and function well in society, hold down jobs, marrages, etc...others cannot take a drink without becoming hurtful and losing relationships. I say as a general rule, when the drug of choice takes over your life, when you spend more time doing and thinking of the drug, when you are stealing money for the habit, lying, etc...then basically, your f'ed!
Hope this all hepled!

Little sister, I love you so much. Â You are so wise! Â Well, Anne, that was my little sister, Dara the Divine, and she's right. Â She always was smarter than me, and she answered your question correctly. Â (Dara, come on over and let's spark up the bud. Â Spark it UP, spark it UP. Â I did not say this!) I'd better go on my walk now, ladies, this is getting curiouser and curiouser, down the rabbit hole and through the looking glass. Â But I like it, I like it a lot. Â After Silke has spoken with me on the telephone, or after I have read my latest poem to her, her friends have asked her is she were stoned. Â Now THAT is a literary compliment, that a poet can have that sort of effect in his interaction. Â Thank you, darling, thank you all. Â

Actually, I don't do drugs. Haven't for a long time. I hope I didn't give anyone the wrong idea. I'm a little crazy, I know, and I did do drugs at one time, but I was just riffing on the whole thing. Anne did a post at 4:20, and that's when I started being silly. What can I say, I'm a crazy poet... Sorry if I gave anybody the wrong idea. I love you all. Like I always say, one just never knows WHAT I'm going to do... Especially me!

hi Steve, maybe you have some interesting, psychedelic tales to tell us someday?
I wasn't judging you, Steve. Â But, just so ppl don't judge me wrong, I'd like to say to everyone here that I haven't been silent on this thread, it's just that not everything gets posted.
If anyone didn't get that, don't worry.
my best,

Frau Doktor Silke Stina Embla Witte is my drug of choice. Â She is so radiantly magnificent, so magically ethereal that there can be no chemical high which could ever compare with her. Â She is all I need, all I want, all to which I aspire. Â Love is that which makes me high, love is that which makes me see the stars up close and Silke shining in them all, shining in the sky; love is all I need, baby, love is all I need.
And all my love to all! +Steve/+Converse/+Stevielein Â

February 4th is the day, and let me be the first here to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ANNE! I'm just so glad you've come to join us, and that I have the privilege of wishing you a Happy Birthday as your friend. You're an absolutely fascinating and extremely gifted person, and I admire you very, very much. All my love, respect, and solidarity to you, always, always, always... Your admiring fellow poet, +Steve

Yes, Happy Birthday Anne! Â Weeeeeeee!
Ok, now to get serious.
Please, don't give in to peer pressure. Â I'm sure you're stronger than that. Â Whatever you do regarding this drug issue, make certain that YOU DECIDE responsibly for yourself. Â Your friends aren't looking out for your welfare or what's best for you. Â Instead, they're probably just mostly interested in whatever yields the most entertainment, pleasure, and that relieves boredom without taking into consideration whether it's in your best interest. Â
You have to be smart about things or you're going to fuck yourself over. Â I've seen it happen all-too-many times. Â You have to assume responsibility and not have your friends decide or pressure you. Â Make your decision independent of what your friends want. Â Only then can you really be doing what's in your best interest, or at least what 'you' believe to be in your best interest.
I hope you can forgive my bluntness. Â I speak out of concern.
take care,
Shawn

Beautiful, Anne, just like you. You make my world so much better; I am so thankful that you exist, and that I know you. And I will never, never, never judge you. If I were to do do, I would just say that in my judgement, Anne is a great and a wonderful and a beautiful person! I say that anyway, but in love, not in judgement.

as in the first comment, it depends on the drug, a lot depends on the person. some people are more easily addicted than others. some people have to go through years of rehab to get off it and even then they are still addicted. I was one that woke up one day and decided that I wouldn't do said drug (s) anymore. I've done them all except extacy. I'm not bragging by any means, I smoked my first joint at the age of 10 in 1968. as of February 9th 2003 I will be clean and sober 6 years this time. I've quit before and everytime before this come back to the drugs within two years.
the only way to know that you are addicted is to ask yourself "do I really need this?" if the answer is yes, then you are addicted. if the answer is no, try going three days without it, if you can't, then you need to seek some professional help! good luck in kicking the habit, I'm glad I did!
if you need someone to talk to write me, I'll call you if you like, leave me your phone number and I'll call as soon as I get the message! iamronkinard@yahoo.com
I've been there, I know how it is and honestly, I've done it all! if I can help you in any way (other than to give you drugs) I will be more than happy to help! God bless and don't give up!

hi, first of i want to say hello to everyone, and yes, you can call me alexis. Also, it is wonderful to see people getting on the way you do, its so intriguing, and im glad that i've stumbled upon it!
Right to answer (sorry to get all serious) you only need to take one of a drug to become addicted, i know from personal experience, im a very experimental person and i thought one wouldnt do me any harm (ecstasy this is), and now everytime i get really down, or im really happy, i think that i need one to get me through it, and its seriously screwing with my head, my speech and my moods. Try it by all means, but please please be careful!

it's not really a choice, Anne. You have to get back up and out of your hole, because you really don't want to think of what happens if you don't get out, much less experience it. You need to get out, and you will, but only if you have faith in yourself. And if it helps, I have faith in you and I'm sure a lot of ppl here do too. So just do it.
