AmbientSnowflake
Hi, I'm Joey, the Ambient Snowflake.

I came to the board seeking conversations on poetry. I'm hoping this board has a good base of interesting folk.

I really want to learn how to advance my creative writing skills.

I've dabbled with philosophy quite a bit. But I take more of an abstract perspective to a lot of views, rather than logical. Which is why I'm more about poetry. (meaning vs. truth)

I'm a post-christian, which is a former Christian who no longer feels a need to be apart of the church or call him/herself a Christian, while still maintaining the moral standards and traditions that are the church. Basically I am a Christian without claiming a salvation in Jesus Christ.

That's kind of a side-note to who I really am.

Hi ambient snowflake,

A big welcome to Mind-Brain!
You sound a lot like myself as far as your description goes.
[incidentally, I love your typo: 'I'm not apart of the Church'. You could have said 'I'm not a part of the Church, I'm apart the Church'. I love playing with words!].

I'm sure you will enjoy yourself amongst good company here. Get some of your poems up for folk to read, and get commenting on their works too.
We are all here to learn, love, and enjoy the best the web can offer in time absorbing enjoyment.

Best regards, Bill
PS If you have any problems just post a query under 'GENERAL' or on a more relevant Board, if another seems appropriate.

The word play was not intended. The pun has been noted.

I just switched message boards. The last board I was on didn't have a poetry section. It didn't have anyone besides myself that posted poetry. And I was the only one who enjoyed poetry. [I went to this particular message boards more for philosophical and theological questions.] So I realized I needed a message board with some people writing and discussing poetry. I'm sure my enthusiasm will die down after I'm here a while.  ;)
