??? How do I zero out my hard drive. I've done it before when I got a virus but I forgot how. And where is a good place to go to get a free pop-up blocker or buy one at a reasonable price. I have a gateway comp. 1.8 gigs.[glow=red,2,300]TEXT[/glow]

Hello Mike,
Welcome to the site.
Sorry for the delay in a response.
I did a search on Google for "zeroing out hard disc" without the quotes, and many useful websites are shown. Please try this yourself. If you can't get the help you need, come and post again and I will try to get you some more specific details.
For popup blocking I use and recommend to you Agnitum Outpost Firewall [free edition] and My Internet Exporer2 [free].

My favourite pop-up blocker is The Proxomitron, available at http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file_desc...fid,8187,00.asp, with a forum for help at http://asp.flaaten.dk/proxo/. There's a learning curve, but it is fully customisable - I've added one or two items to the block lists. It can also block things like banner ads and auto-refreshing scripts plus all sorts of other 'e-devils' - and it's free!

Hi all. There is a good popup blocker out there called POW! It is free and workes very well. As for zeroing out the hard drive. There is a program called Autoclave. It is free also, And is very simple to use. It is quite awsome. And it has the instructions on the site that You can print off for reference. It goes on a Floppy disk. It works with all versions of windows. Give it a try.
