Forgive me my nonsense as I also forgive the nonsense of those who think they talk sense.

Steven.......
If God forgives us, who are we not to forgive?
Holding a grudge can only hold you back.
Look to tomorrow and forget about yesterday, as the events of the past are done, but the events of tomorrow have yet to come.
Realize that as you spend time looking behind you, you are missing the beauty of that which lies in front of you.

Forgive..I dont forgive some things either. Not forgiving dosent mean that you are holding a grudge, it means that you are not going to let it happen to you again. It means that you are not ging to be a fool again, that you will not lget hurt in the same way again.
I have not forgiven my father or my mother for their abuse. Somethings CANNOT be forgiven...

Then so be it Steven.
I have not felt the pain of the world the way you have.
I cannot begin to comprehend the hardships you may have faced throughout your life, or the kind of ignorance you must have endured. For this, I understand your unwillingness to forgive......or forget.
The quote was meant to address general disagreements and discrepancies.
Perhaps, I am lucky to have not faced such traumatic hardships, but I hope that all those who have, have turned their negatively influenced pasts into positive futures.
I guess one's quality of life is immeasurable, until it is placed next to another's.

I think that is a great quote Onyx. To forgive is to be human. When we lose our ability to forgive, we lose our humanity. Although some injuries are difficult to forgive, there is a difference between forgiving and forgetting. Never forget, always forgive; otherwise, you are only keeping the wound from healing.

I'm of the opinion that I will forgive if I feel like it. I need offer no reason, I need only accept responsibility for my choice. To be told that I must forgive is to be enslaved, and to say that I never forgive is to enslave
I alone decide to forgive or not to forgive, and to own this option is my humanity

Timmothy,
appaarently you are a lucky soul top have never been hurt as some of is have been, or you would easily understand Steven and I when we say we cannot forgive certainthings. Just impossible to forgive and I am still human, and a good human at that. I give and give, sacrafice myself for others, I add to the goodness in this world. You dont know me and I cant begin to explain my life to you, but I have not lost my humanity, I have only gained goodness. But, I guess you just cant relate to us, and that is ok. But, please, dont pass judgment , we are human...and have NOT lost any humanity. That just made me laugh...

Don't misread what I wrote. Â The ability to forgive is part of what makes us human. Â To lose this ability, that is to lose the capacity to choose, is to lose one's humanity. Â This is in line with what Dan wrote. Â I never implied that we must always forgive or that forgiveness is always possible, only that we should forgive if we can and to try even if we can't. Â I do, however, feel that the person who forgives is better off than the person who cannot forgive, or does not forgive. Â This point is arguable, but I believe that no matter how 'good' you are or think you are, you will never be as good as you could be if you forgive. Â I think even Joe would agree with me on this. Â Perhaps we will find out.

BTW Dara
You should be careful about responding to me. I know that we have been forbidden to converse with one another...or at least I am not to ever address you, Fran or Steven, or even refer to any of you. I mean, what if you mistakenly trespassed against Steven by talking to me? He would never forgive you.

You are a peacemaker. Â You are trying to bring about the cessation of all present and future confrontation involving those you care about, regardless of who is right or wrong. Â If by calling such hostilities boring you can end them, then that is what you will try to do.
When people say that something is boring, they generally mean that they view the source of their boredom as unproductive. Â You may feel that this argument was unproductive and it may be that it was. Â However, to suggest that something is unproductive implies that something else (or nothing at all) is, by comparison, productive. Â Since we all desire productivity with respect to the things we value, it follows that boring is an excuse people make when they don't know how or simply cannot achieve those values, that is to say, when they can't get their way.

I was wrong about forgiveness, and I have messaged onyx about this, that he was right and I was wrong (I forgive everybody all over myself! Â Would that they would be so forgiving as me! Â Hallelujah!), and he was very gracious to me; likewise have I messaged with Timothy Schoonover, who is actually a fine and brilliant young man, whom I respect very much. Â And the furious kids are no longer so furious, indeed they and I have made peace. Â So, what I mean to say, is: Â Chrissy and James, please stop hating me and posting all these little digs at me; I apologized to you two as well, and I meant it (Froggy wasn't too certain of my sincerity, but, it is genuine). Â
I beg everyone to forgive me! Â Good Lord, what am I, Louis XVI? Â Or no, I suppose I would be Marie Antoinette...
Look, I love everybody. Â Kaysie, everybody. Â Now stop hating me! Â I have books to write, pretty girls to love, wine to drink.
God bless us all and each.
Hakuna matata.

P.S.: As an abused child, my paramount concern is but to be a good boy. Â If anyone has any further begging or bootlicking they would like me to do, do let me know so that I can do it right speedily, nor delay.
Peace!
Pax + vobiscum.
(I know I'm weird and witchy, I have a little beard and I'm bitchy; but I'm a well-meaning if eccentric soul. Â I was raised by Mafiosi in a crazy environment. Â Am I shooting you? Â No? Â This is what we call progress! Â I have evolved a long way! Â So lighten up, will ya? Â Holy crap!)

Steven,
One of the secrets of a long and fruitful life is to forgive everybody everything every night before you go to bed.
Difficult as it may sound, it IS truly the better path to a long life.

I agree wholeheartily! thought as Dara pointed out some things are hard to forgive or even impossible to forgive! Granted , it is hard to be forgiven or to forgive but when it comes to petty differences one should always forgive!
Love yas,
Chrissy
