"You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every expierence in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the thing which you think you cannot do" ---Eleanor Roosevelt

This quote has helped me through so much in my life. From leaving an abusive boyfriend to over coming my fear of water by getting certified in scuba diving. smile.gif

Good for you, dear lady, and with all my heart I welcome you among us!

That is a wonderful quote, from a wonderful and heroic woman, one of my true heroes.

I wonder what she would think of the Bush administration, eh?  wink.gif

Scuba diving, is it?  Yowza!  I'm impressed!  I am singing "Under the Sea" right now from The Little Mermaid...

Congratulations on your looking fear in the face and not flinching.  Good for you, and if you ever want that abusive former boyfriend to "sleep with the fishes," it can be arranged.  Alla famiglia, si?

Be well, be free, and think of me, under the sea.

(By the way, does SCUBA stand for "Self-Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus"?  Just wondering...)

Hmmm...  I wonder if there are any rice books?

I just actually ate something--I know, I'm as surprised as anyone about this--a wee little bowl of rice it was, so I would like to find a rice book.  Chicken soup always worries me; it has that Schmalz, that yellow stuff in it.  But, I know it's supposed to be good for people.  I'm just a little afraid of Schmalz, is all.

Yes, this is a good quote, and I do think words can help people sometimes... my sonnets have been known to cheer up dear and wonderful hearts which were sad.  Nothing makes me feel better than that!  I love to make people feel better, and since words are what I'm pretty much concerned with in the way of my calling, it gives me great, frisking and leaping happiness to please people with such words as I can come up with, fool that I am, hahaha.

All my love to all!

It is a lovely and loverly day today hereabouts!

Sometimes things actually work out alright...

Blimey!

Amazing!

And I'm still terribly impressed about the Scuba diving.  That really is something.  (*Bursts into enthusiastic song: "Uuuuuuunder the seeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaa, uuuuuuuunder the seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaa...!"*)
