Hello all!
I've been looking over this site for a couple months now, and just decided to create an account, mainly so I can learn from others. I need to learn to challenge my intellect, and I feel that the best way to do that is to try to offer an opinion and learn from another's response to it.

I'm an undergraduate at SUNY Albany, going into my senior year. I will graduate with a Philosophy major and a Cognitive Science minor.

I grew up in a small town, graduating high school with only 30(+/-) kids. College truly opened my world and helped me to open my mind, especially when I discovered Philosophy. I have been to three different colleges, trying to find the one that can offer me the most. I settled on Albany because it offers a pretty big selection of interesting classes. Ever since entering college, I have been obsessed with developing the powers of my mind. I will no longer settle with idleness and complacency, because I don't want to neglect my potential ability. I think as though I might have something to offer. I just need to develop the ability to verbalize my ideas and argue for them logically.

I am truly a newbie, and I am open to any and all ideas that may help me develop my own.
