A few years ago I took Huperzine A to enhance memory and overall cognitive performance and though it was very effective, I noticed a drop in my heart rate. I was taking a number of herbal remedies and decided to eliminate all of them. After the death of a friend and trying to cope with a demanding workload, my doctor prescribed Wellbutrin XL, and contrary to what my doctor said, the effects almost immediately treated my depression. I would also like to consider returning to Huperzine A to enhance memory, but I am concerned that it might interact with Wellbutrin XL. Can anyone verify whether or not there is a danger in taking huperzine at the same time as Wellbutrin XL?

There is no serious concern when using 200 mcg or less daily. Most doctors have little experience or knowledge with any supplement or drug/supplement interaction. it certainly does not hurt to ask your doctor however ask him to back up his answer.
