Although it may be against board rules to post this,

however I have used adderall (bought a few from my friend)
I have noticed very little improvement in my concentration.

It was a generic amphetamine.

Basically it kept the edge off when i was getting a bit off track and nothing more.

Anyone else noticed this?

Could it be due to my high tolerance to stimulants in general?
I know that i need 1 g of caffiene to even keep me awake, otherwise i can sleep deeply.

And i dont use stimulants that often, probably once every two weeks if i need to.

What dose?
Did you take it as well as your daily dose of caffeine? or instead of? or you don't take caffeine at all?
Do you usually have concentration problems?
What things were you concentrating on?
How long for?
Do you think you have add?

Some research suggests that amphetamines will improve some peoples concentration and decrease others depending on their baseline neurobiology.

Just read you huperzine thread.
It seems as though if you're taking that, you can only get so much chemical enhancement of concentration. You may actually start to inhibit your concentration if you're taking amphetamines as well as the nootropics.

I might try the huperzine.

I give my support to the Hup A. I just got 126% (100% without bonus points) on my Chem220 midterm...

adderall definately works to give your body energy, but i find that if my brain is still "tired" adderall will just make me jittery and not be able to do anything. A racetam helps wake up the brain...adderall will keep you physically going for hours.
