Full Version: Is huperzine bad?

I just recently picked up some L-Huperzine A and have been using it for the past two days. So far I am loving the effects as it is really improving my memory and learning ability. The only thing I am worried about is that I found out it is also an NMDA receptor Antagonist like Ketamine and PCP. I read that NMDA antagonists can lead to a certain type of brain damage known as Olney's Legions. I am just wondering if this stuff is dangerous to take in the long run or if the antagonist effect is so small that it will not do any damage. (The bottle actually claims to protect against Glutamate damage?)

No it's not dangerous. You can not compare different drugs even in the same classes due to massive differences based on the molecule.

LM, but you don't know for sure if there are no long term side effects, do you? What makes you so sure about Huperzine A's safety?

Yes i do. Based on the research available and my clinical use in above 5,000 people over the course of up to 13 years.

Lespauldude, read lifemirages signature.

but then again, statistically only 1 percent of all people read anything given to them.

just messing with you.

But as lifemirage stated, Huperzine is safe and effective. Read my log if you havent so.

My test grades overall have improved dramatically over the course of 2-3 weeks.
