I've been trying to find info on the legality of Piracetam (and all the 'cetams') in the United States, and am getting spotty information at best. I've read some older and non-cited information the Piracetam is not illegal, but can only be imported into the US for personal use (not commercial). If this is the case, why/how is it sold so abundantly by online retailers?

Which brings to mind another question...

If Piracetam is easiliy sold (or resold) in the US, and the drug is known to have synergistic effects with other chemicals (centrophenoxine, ALCAR, etc...) why isn't it included in any of the 'cognitive enhancer' products or offered in a stack?

Piracetam is legally sold as a dietary supplement in the US. Any data saying otherwise is outdated or incorrect.

The high dosing of Piracetam (4.8-9.6 grams daily) makes it less probable to include it in a formula.
