Hey guys

I stumbled upon this site after reading the 'Good drugs guide' and saw that Modafinil can augment many anti-epileptic drugs. my questions are many, but for now I will stick to the basics:
What, if any, Atypical Drugs or "mood brighteners" can I take that will help lift this depression off my shoulders? I cant take any SSRI, SNRI, NDRI, etc because of the risk of a seizure. The last time I was put on zoloft, lexapro or celexa I had a marked increase in seizures.

I hate to be a real drag, but its hard to want to continue living when everything that is supposed to make you feel better, nearly kills you.
Oh, and I only get Grand Mal seizures, so any seizure could potentially pass into Status Epilepticus territory, and possibly leave me braindead.

The point of the matter is, I want your thoughts on some medications that could possibly help my situation. although modafinil could potentially make me lose sleep (my one and only true trigger), I have plenty of ambien and xanax to help take the potential "edge" off, and let me catch some z's if required.

You guys seem Really experienced, and I'd severely appreciate your input.

Im going to lay down to quell these thoughts, I look forward to some responses.

thanks again.

Hello Br0,

Can I suggest a visit to a website which may help you compare your own mutli-drug experience with what the experts say?

http://www.pdrhealth.com/health/health-too...teractions.aspx

At this site, you enter one drug name and add it, then enter a second drug name and add that. It will then search for contraindications which may warn you off the combination or indicate no problems.
I tried Tegretol with effexor as a combo dug regime and the problems seem to be minor!
It would be interesting to see what you find your various multir-egime medications.

I do hope you succeed in your search; either one of your afflications is enough to cope with for anybody!

Here please consider my recommendations concerning your ailment treatment.
Please note that the recommendations are not medical, just recommendations of a private person, if you do not like them you can discard them:

1. For 1 week take bath with hot salted water once per day before going to bed. In the morning you can take regular baths.
2. Buy 5% iodine solution mixed with neat alcohol and meticulously treat with it your nails as on legs so and on your hand fingers (the fingers of the hands should treated in a way so in the morning the iodine not be noted visually). Do that on Friday evening. Mix iodine with little water and treat with it your legs, especially the right leg and the upper part of your back, esp near neck.
3. For 4 days drink water with one small drop of iodine within.
4. Do not drink ANY tea during that period of time. But drink boiled water!
5. Buy a good vocabulary with high quality English and regularly read it especially esp paying attention to new and interesting words having relation with nature, life, civilization and construction. Pay special attention to interesting combinations of words helping to express new and interesting ideas with some spice within.
6. Do not read ANY religious staff during that period.
7. Take bath as regularly as it is possible.
8. Do not eat or drink anything while watching TV or reading papers! (very important) Eat and drink in calm and cozy environment. While making food never think about negative things, only about positive things. Cook things with love.
9. Take all red colored elements out of your home, but do not fear read color. Reassign in your brain associations the red color with water color, imagine that red color is absorbed by waters of a see.
10. Do not fear, be brave, be wise.
11. Add some not notable golden element to your garment or to your hairs.

Have a nice day.
