lol. Actually I wonder if one day, when cybernetics are rampant - if people will all become directly connected to each other over the internet.

A huge melting pot of emotions and experiences where everyone can feel any change in this 'sea' of emotion. This sea would always stabalize very quickly, like ripples in water. This would stop individuals becoming isolated, depressed, and general extreme thoughts and feelings. It would dilute individual experience and desires and there would be no more need for technological advancement. Consciousness would be one.
