I understand that acidity strongly influences the uptake of ritalin from the digestive tract. Does anyone know specifics as to how acidic various nootropics are? For example does the ph of piracetam (4.5) which is much lower than that of orange juice, deactivate my ritalin? I have'nt seen research done on this.

(on second check, O.J. appears to be closer to 3.8, but still....)

Actually, I'm not seeing this info around anywhere. I don't want to reinvent the wheel, but would anybody be interested in researching nootropic interactions in regards to digestive uptake? This stated as a question of "with or without food." I have'nt really dug into the meat of it on medline or anything yet. Theres probably info on this available, but I have'nt seen anything comparing optimal digestive conditions for each nootropic and how they interact.

My point is, perhaps taking something like huperzine may interact synergetically with piracetam once both are in the blood, but perhaps they are competing or even inhibiting the uptake of each other? It wouldn't be hard to research, but time consuming perhaps.
