An interesting development is reported at the web site

http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=pa...article=1&cat=0

With my knowledge and experience I find the principle of parallel universes (to the infinite extent propounded) as most improbable.

In particular I can see no 'purpose' or advantage for Nature.

I do not presume, however that Nature has purpose!

Fractal grown on other fractal, each utilizing elements of each other.
Thank you for the link Rhymer.
Rick
It's one of the most useless concepts conceivable.
Enki
I disagree Rick.

The concepts of Parallel Universes (Worlds) are very important in physics.

There is a chap -Theophrastus Bombastus von Hohenheim Paracelsus having expressed interesting issues on the topic.
Rick
The "many worlds" interpretation of quantum mechanics is less useful than the Copehhagen interpretation, which is fundamentally incorrect. I like Bishop Berkeley's view.
Enki
Oh my dear Bishop Berkeley. How I love that clever man.
I think the best way is to approach to the problem from the Fluctuation Theory rather than quantum mechanics.
ochocinco
The correct interpretation may not be the most "useful" one.

Care to elaborate, sir?
Trip like I do
stop thinking literally and start thinking metaphorically

No.
Joesus
It isn't always easy to elaborate on problems that don't exist.
