Nevaeh Seren
Pain for pain
And tainted soul
Poison on my skin
Sitting down and hurting me
Tearing up within

Sin for sin
And ruined soul
Sickness in my head
Bloodied flesh and blinded eyes
Might as well be dead

Life for life
And backwards soul
Treason in my eyes
Broken words and twisted bones
Conspiracy of lies

Bath of bleach
And steel wool soap
To wash away the pain
The sickness inside breaking me
Driving me insane

Aye, "out damned spot" indeed, to wash away the pain, to weep away the stain; I do understand and appreciate this poem of yours, new Kiwi friend, and welcome you to this our little place, where I daresay you will fit just fine and feel at home.

Thank you very much for coming to join us, and for sharing your poetry here; I hope you will share more and more and never be shy, and we will read and enjoy them all.

Your name seems heaven wrong way round; I like that in a person.

I hope you think my poetry's all right; I like yours very much.

I was going to close with Mind the Cows, but maybe I should say Mind the Sheep instead (assuming all those sheep which were once there in their millions are still there, as I devoutly hope; I like sheep).

I'm always so happy to find a new poet, and to drop in at good old BrainMeta to find one here waiting with an intriguing style, with talent and an interesting name.

I'll go and read some more now. Thank you very much indeed for your kind words about my little poem, "A Misfit Born and Bred." I'm glad you liked it; you got it absolutely.

Respect and solidarity, my fellow poet. Thank you for joining us.

Mind the Sheep,

+Stevie

Ah yes, nevaeh is heaven... and seren also means star, so if you combine the two it becomes a perfectly wonderful description to try and live up to smile.gif

PS- yes, there are still millions of sheep in this country hehe tongue.gif
