This picture I drew from a photo of a rabbit. I'm no good at drawing from my minds eye, so I mainly concentrated on getting the bunny looking furry and with decent tones etc.
I used it to show my daughter how you don't have to be precise to create a decent effect of fur.

....now this I like, specifically all the individually rendered strokes of the grass and in the rabbit fur!

Thanks Trip. It was an experiment I set myself. The drawing isnt spectacular, but the texture is complex enough to fool the eyes

I'm not usually into fluffy-cuddly, but this is a good drawing. I like the directionality of the lines of fur and grass.

This bunny-on-a-lawn is about as precise as anyone could draw it!
I am no art expert and totally incapable of any type of freehand drawing, but I really appreciate your sketch.
For me the only 'weak' changes I would like to see are the removal of the orange bit on the right hand side (which is probably part of an unidentifiable object) and a lightening of what appears to me to be a beard effect above and below the lips.
Remarkable attempt.

Now, you mention that orange bit. Is it a carrot?

It's amazing how much information can be layered with a simple strategically placed brush stroke....

Hehe, no carrot, its a badly drawn pre-school style sun. Clearly I should have attempted a few test drawings to work out how to accurately convey the sun.

Well, whatever, carrot or sun, I think the rabbit and grass are just great.

It looks like a setting/rising sun.

Yes, it does. I was only joking. Do we have a jpg of the photograph, for comparison?

It may be possible to get the photo, but it will destroy the illusion your all under hehe. The setting of the rabbit was completely different, so no real comparison could be done to the photo. A rising sun was the idea, but without a sky colour and without a test drawing it was an after thought :)
