The whole world is the kingdom of God

You must realize that the whole world is the kingdom of God as stated by Jesus. Any injustice will be punished by Him and you need not worry about it. Your view of the punishment is revenge but His view of punishment is to transform the soul. If somebody has stolen your money, don’t pray to God to punish that person. Everything is recorded by Him unlike the courts which register the case only when a complaint is given.

The enquiry by God takes place immediately. Sometimes you find no punishment from God and you are scolding God. The silence of God means that the enquiry was completed and the judgment was “no punishment”. In the previous birth, you might have stolen money from that person and today you paid along with the compound interest. In this case there cannot be punishment and the enquiry was over. Since you do not know this, you mistake God for His silence.

Suppose such background is not there, then you will get your money with interest in some other way which is compensated by God. That person will lose the money along with the interest. You will see it with your eyes. But suppose you cursed that person with revenge, you will receive the punishment in addition to the above. Kauravas stole a share of wealth of Pandavas and finally they lost their whole kingdom. Pandavas gained the total kingdom which is double the share. But Draupadi was cursing Kauravas aspiring always for the revenge.

She was also punished for this as she lost all her children. Therefore, we should not scold even our enemy even by words or mind. God takes care of the entire case. If the injustice wins, it is a black mark for His administration only. He is well aware of it and will take the necessary action. He is more serious in your case than yourself. Unlike the court, He does not require registration of case or witness or advocate. When Hiranyakashipu tortured Prahlada, Prahalada kept silent and did not curse him in any way.

The Lord took very serious action in that case. Thus you have to keep God at every step as the basis in the worldly life also (Pravrutti). Jesus told that unless you excuse others, you cannot be excused by God. Your enemy will be punished if he does not excuse others. Such behaviour which indicates the full faith on God at every step of the life is divine Dharma in Pravrutti or Nivrtutti.

Kingdom of God

Today the sins are within the limits of certain control. What is the reason for this? Do you think that these courts and police system are controlling sins? People always have discovered loop holes in every system. The only control of the sins is the concept of God that was established since several generations by the valuable ancient tradition. People are controlled to some extent only due to fear of God and the hell created by God. People know that God knows everything and does not require any witness. Therefore, there is no argument of any case in the hell. There is no need of any advocate in the hell. The sin is shown to you through the divine television which is protected as picture. This is the meaning of word Chitragupta. Such divine concepts are only controlling the sins.

Do not think that such concepts are really unreal but they are useful to control the sins and so should be retained. I assuredly tell you that such concepts are really real. Your ignorance of the truth cannot make it unreal. If you are unaware of the snake in the darkness, it does not mean that the snake is unreal. You will know the reality of snake, when it bites you. Therefore, the propagation of divine knowledge and devotion can alone change the society.

When all the human beings become the real devotees of the Lord doing the real worship, God is pleased with such divine society. His grace will fall on such society. There will be no problem for any soul. One has to search for the trace of some problem in such society. The only problem in such society will be the absence of any problem! This is the permanent solution. This was the dream of Jesus which is the meaning of His word “Kingdom of God.” Leaving this, if you put any amount of effort, it will be only thronging spoons of sugar in to the ocean to turn it sweet.

Analyzing God’s attitude to wards souls

God created all the souls and has the attitude of father towards His children. The father sometimes may have partiality in showing the love equally to his children. But God is always having infinite love for all the souls in equal manner. Even the punishments in the hell are meant for transformation of the souls from lower level to the higher level. God always tries to help the soul even if a trace of possibility exists in the cycle of the deeds.

One soul need not recommend about the other soul to God to show the grace. If somebody recommends to his father regarding the welfare of his brother, how foolish it looks! No soul should recommend to the God about other soul for protection or for showing the grace. If any soul recommends like that it is only insulting the infinite love of God. It is only the climax of the ignorance and the emotional love on the other soul, which lacks even the basic analysis of spiritual knowledge.

Why good people are suffering?

Some people say that even good people are unnecessarily harmed. They criticize God. You cannot decide any person as a good person. Did you observe him every minute from his birth? You also think yourself as a good person. Are you aware of your sins done in your childhood? You might have harmed an innocent insect in your childhood. Do you remember that? Even mental feelings are sins, which may not be expressed in words and actions. The feelings of the mind are the source of words and actions. Therefore the feeling may not hurt others today. But tomorrow it will hurt others which will come out in words and actions. In fact, intention is given more importance in the crime according to law. The judge gives more importance to the intention in giving the punishment. You are walking on the road and the ant is killed by your foot, without any intention. There is no punishment for such sins. But when you kill the same ant with intention, you are punished by God. Therefore mind is the source of action.

If somebody harmed really a good person, then also leave it to God. You should not revenge. Why? The reason is that you cannot judge the exact nature and line of the case. You do not remember your own sins. Some times you do the sin thinking that it is good. You cannot be the standard in judging your own sins. Only the Lord can decide. Therefore, if somebody harmed really a good person, in the view of the Lord also, then the Lord himself will punish him.

You cannot take the law and order in to your hand. You have to refer the case to the court. Let the Judge decide, and punish the criminal. Therefore the Lord said, “Revenge is Mine”. If the revenge is justified, the Lord will certainly punish. The Lord will not revenge if you pray Him to do so. The Lord, will not excuse even if you recommend the unjust case.

Neither you have the power to punish nor to excuse anybody. The reason for this is that you are not omniscient. If a sinner realizes the sin and repents, the punishment is reduced. After repentance if you do not repeat the sins, the punishment is cancelled. If the sinner does not repent, he will repeat the sin again and again. Such sinner can be controlled only by punishment. If this is not true the police department has no use. There are some sinners who can be controlled only by third degree treatment. If such punishment and revenge are not required, and if everybody can be transformed by preaching, then what is the necessity of the existence of’ Hell and Liquid Fire’.

If such possibility of transformation by love and knowledge is there, then why the Lord mentioned the word ‘revenge’ at all? Therefore this means that there are some sinners who cannot be transformed by love and knowledge. Some clever people criticize Lord Rama and Lord Krishna, who have resorted to punish the sinners. Such clever people should answer about the word ‘revenge’ uttered by the Lord and also should explain the mention of the liquid fire in the scriptures. If all the human beings can be transformed through love and knowledge such words should not have been mentioned in their scriptures.

No good deed can cancel the bad deed

I will give you a small example.

A daughter-in-law is serving her mother-in-law or father-in-law. The service is inevitable. If the service is done with good intention by treating the father-in-law as father or mother-in-law as mother, the good fruit in heaven is fully enjoyed. Suppose the daughter-in-law serves them sincerely due to unavoidable circumstances and scolds them with hatred in mind, what is the result? The good fruit in heaven is reduced to half and half bad fruit appears in the hell for the bad intention.

The good fruit of good deed can never cancel the bad fruit of bad deed. Fruits of goods deeds and bad deeds have to be enjoyed separately. If you create a provision to cancel a bad deed by doing a good deed, every one will commit sins by emotion and then will try to cancel the sins later on by doing good deeds. Therefore, when the Priest says that by doing a ritual, all your sins are destroyed, it is a point of climax of ignorance. No good deed can cancel the bad deed.

Kauravas(demons) had ninety nine per cent sins and one per cent good deeds. They went to heaven first to enjoy the little good deeds and went to hell later on to enjoy the major bad deeds. Pandavas(devotees) are vice-versa and hence went to hell first and then to heaven later on. In both cases, mutual cancellation is not exhibited as we see in the Mahabharata (Swargarohana parva). Now, I pity the daughter-in-law who has sincerely served the in-laws but went to hell simply for the sake of bad intention. The daughter-in-law who has not served in-laws with bad intention goes to permanent hell. The daughter-in-law who has served her in-laws sincerely but had bad intention in her mind goes to both hell and heaven separately. The daughter-in-law who has served her in-laws with good intention thinking them as her own parents has gone to permanent heaven. The daughter-in-law who has good intention in her mind to serve her in-laws will some how serve them directly or indirectly and will not go to hell.

Sins are not cancelled by doing mere good social works

The sins are not cancelled by doing mere good social works. You will have the separate results for the good and bad deeds. Pandavas did lot of good works but did very few bad works. The lot of good did not cancel their little bad sin. The Pandavas went to hell for a short time to suffer for the little sins and then went to heaven to enjoy the good results for a long time. This means that the good works, which will have separate good results, cannot cancel the sin. Hanuman advises Ravana not to do injustice and says that good deeds like penance cannot cancel the sins, since both have to be enjoyed separately (Praptam Dharma Phalam…Adharmasyapiha Phalam….Ramayana). But the devotion to God can cancel the sin because God will suffer for the sins of His devotees (Ahamtva ...Gita). Gita says “Apchet….Bhajatemam”, which means that even the greatest sinner is protected if he serves the God.

Some preachers take this verse and apply to the case of a theoretical devotee who sings songs etc. The verb Bhaja means service and not songs (Bhaja Sevayam…). This verb has also another meaning of attainment (Bhaja Prapane). You cannot say that the devotee will be saved if he attains God. Ravana reached Kailasa and stood near God and this is attainment of God, which could not save him.
