I assume you belong to, and are active in, a traditional Christian religion. Which one? I ask the following without being judgmental and without prejudice. I am just interested in where people stand. Briefly: What is your concept of God, religion and the Bible? If you prefer, feel free to PM me.

If so, I have the sneaking suspicion that open-minded theists, because they believe in the spiritual values called faith, hope love and grace are very easy people with whom to communicate.

I am open minded..but when it comes to straight biblical principles, i will not move.
i agree.. those who are open minded but have a strong core belief in faith, hope, love and grace are very easy to communicate with.. Simply because we know the benefits of God... (at least speaking for me) know the negative effects of pushing belief on someone...
Now I do fully believe in teaching hell hot and heaven sweet.. and salvation with repentence ( because without repentance there is no salvation) but i know that God is love...and doesn't not will that those who do not accept to be judged...but it is their choice in denying Him and His gift. Hell wasn't created for man.. it was created for the Devil and his angels...so when a person dies lost...he is a inferior being in hell......
but God didn't not call me to fight with men... ( because our battle is not with flesh and blood..but with principalities and powers of darknes).. i will contend for my faith....but my war is not with mankind...but a spiritual battle. That is why I don't get offended...because I know that i just need to do my Father' will in witnessing to people.....and He does the matter of dealing with the heart... why should i get offended at someone when they don't know any better? I have great compassion for them.. and my heart breaks.. and I pray they turn..but ultimatly it is their choice..i just need to warn them
