Lonely

Given our limited number of days
Brief hours in which we have our chance to shine
This brief span can serve for us as always

I wonder might you share your span with mine?

I realize nothing lasts forever
Except loneliness and maybe never
I understand we are all on our own

But I am lonely and I never had
The love I sought and I have been alone

Maybe these days would seem less bleak less sad
If I knew the love I have never known

I wonder if you feel the way I do
