Before I respond I would just like to make clear the fact that I am not a doctor or medical practitioner and my comments should not be considered medical advice.
For starters, when I started using adderall, I jettisoned the caffeine because I found it over stimulated me.
Let's see... on a daily basis I take a multivitamin (without iron), 50mg of CoQ10, and two capsules of omega 3 fish oil. These are all conventional forms of supplementation. However, the main difficulty with acquiring/maintaining the efficacy of amphetamine based ADD/ADHD treatments is the build up of tolerance. To prevent tolerance, besides from taking my Sundays off from Adderall use, I also take two teaspoons of Delsym (an over-the-counter cough suppressant) twice daily. Delsym is a cheap source of DXM. When kids abuse cough medicine by consuming bottles of the stuff, the "trip" (hallucinations) that they experience are caused by DXM. However with the very small dosage of two teaspoons that I'm using there are no negative effects like those experience with massive consumption. Instead, the DXM acts as a NMDA receptor antagonist that inhibits the excess build up of Ca++ (which causes tolerance build up).
Here is a thread that discusses what I am talking about:
