Um I would skip the cd and just download BrainWave Gen, it allows you to make your own meditation sound files for free. You get alot more control and you can customize it. As far as meditation cds go, they are all the same, either they use binaural beats or they dont. The rest is a matter of personal taste...
There are not really any beginner or expert meditation cds, they are all the same... just marketed diffrently.
You can get brainwave gen at www.bwgen.com

Deep Sleep or Lucid Dreaming?
For Deep Sleep your going to need something that goes from either Beta or Alpha waves into Theta Waves. Theta waves are for deep sleep.
As mentioned before, your can make your own using www.bwgen.com (its free)
Or if you want to buy a Cd, Hemi Sync is supposed to be good.
http://www.hemi-sync.com/store/home.phpThey have a unique type of Binaural Beats that are patented, so theyre the only ones who sell it. I think its more effective from what I remember, I just make my own so I dont buy the Cd's. Anways, theyve been around for a long time in the Brain Wave Entrainment area, so its worth checking out.

Thanks for your resource on the CD. I previously did purchase some CD from which supposes to have an effect on mediatation and massage. Are those binaural?

Binaural Beats require that you have headphones on. What happens is two diffrent frequencies are played (one in each ear) and the diffrence between the two frequencies creates a third frequency which occurs inside your head. So if you had 425 hz and 450hz then the Binaural Beat would be 25 hz. Humans cant hear frequencies below 100hz so Binaural Beats are used to achieve the effects.
If you have a Binaural CD then put headphones on and you should hear two tones, if you relax you can hear a third that is literatly coming from inside your head. It sounds like it isnt coming from anywhere actually, the third frequency is like it is coming from nowhere.
Some people sell CD's with relaxing music and some sell Binaural Beats with some sort of generic noises masked over it, like waves of the ocean.
Binaural Beats are not required to achieve a state of meditation (which is the alpha state). I recommend first doing slow breathing techniques, paying careful attention to your breaths. Slow them and control them until you are breathing slowly, but not so slowly that you are uncomfortable.
This alone can put you into a meditative state. There are various physiological reasons why this works but I wont get into it. Being aware of your breathing and then slowing it is one of the easiest ways I know to achieve a meditative state.

ahy as maximus242 has suggested work with your breathing. I have found alot of people try and jump into the deep end before learning to walk where meditation is concerned.
as for meditation cds I believe a nice soft piece of nature music works well or anything that plays with wind.

Yea 25hz is safe, not all that much of a purpose for it though, just used it as an example.
Most people are interested in the alpha waves (altered state of mind), which is essentially 8-12hz.
