All about Me- by Datta Swami

A few new visitors have posed a question to Me “Who are You”? I must mention the answer to this question here because every new reader is obviously attacked by this question. My name is Venu Gopala Krishna Murthy with surname ‘Jannabhatla’. This name belongs only to this outer most gross body, which is composed of the inert five elements.

The inner body is called as the subtle body, and is made of qualities and feelings which are like waves in a pond of water. The water is the pure awareness, which is called as the causal body or soul. If all My qualities and feelings subside as in the case of a realized scholar, the soul becomes like a pond with stand still water. There cannot be waves without water and thus the subtle body cannot exist without the causal body.

The subtle body always includes its causal body, which is made of life energy. This subtle body enters the gross body in the womb of mother and leaves it at the time of death. The subtle body has no name or surname. Therefore, I am only introducing My gross body through My name and surname.

Then, who am I? Am I the subtle body? If I become a realized soul and get full liberation My subtle body disappears and at last I remain as the causal body. Up to this there is no complication, because this is the inner X-ray photograph of any human being. In the ordinary photograph only the outer-most gross body appears. The X-rays of the spiritual knowledge reveal the subtle and causal bodies.

A special situation appeared in My case as one can see from My life history. The experiences of devotees and the unimaginable excellent divine knowledge that is flowing from Me clearly demands the presence of some extra item in Me other than these three bodies. Some call it as sixth sense or intuition, which is a categorical imperative. Some call the same as God, power of God or grace of God. The people who do not want to accept this extra item, which is beyond this world, are called as atheists. From their angle I am a trickish human being cheating humanity through My speeches. But even to them I have posed a question at the beginning of the introduction. Let them answer that question and if they can convince Me, I shall give up this Mission.

God is unimaginable and cannot be directly experienced. He donates Himself to His devotees through a medium and the best medium is the human body for human beings. People other than atheists are believers in God and are called as theists. Among these theists, the first type of people think that the unimaginable God entered and pervaded all over this human body. In this case the electric current that entered a medium of a wire pervades the wire. Such a wire is called as current itself. Fortunately or unfortunately almost all My devotees belong to this first type and call Me as Lord Datta. Swami means Lord and Datta means the Lord donated to human beings through a human body. Thus I am named as ‘Datta Swami’ by My devotees.

This is the state when Jesus said that He and His Father were one and the same. The second type of people treat Me as a devotee of Lord Datta, who like a father visited the house of My gross body and stays in the central room called the heart. Jesus as the Son sitting on the right side of His Father stated this state. Hanuman, a devotee tore his heart and showed the Lord in it. I (subtle body along with causal body) am the owner of this house and it is My fortune that My Father visited My house. The invisible Father does all the miraculous work and gives fame to the visible Me.

Such fortune is possible only in the case of the topmost devotee. The third category devotees never admit the entrance of God into any human being. These people worship formless God like space or cosmic energy. Some people of this category worship the energetic body of God as the Father in Heaven and some of this category worship statues and photos. The worship of all these people belonging to the third category is only indirect representative worship. This third category accepts that some power of the God enters a human being, who brings His message to the earth.

These people call the human incarnation as Messenger only. However these people believe in the messengers who were dead, but they do not believe the living Messenger present in their time. Such people like the priests of the Jewish temple had Lord Jesus crucified and did not accept Him even as a Messenger. For the same reason the Kapalika followers killed Sankara and conservative Hindus killed Swami Dayananda.

Therefore, I have to answer the question “Who are You?” for different people in different ways:

1. Yes, I am the very Lord Datta

2. Lord Datta is in My heart as I am His strongest devotee

3. I have been sent by Lord Datta as His messenger

However I prefer to stand by the third answer because that will not contradict the first two categories and is sharply accepted by the third category. The people standing on 100, 50 and 25 can commonly accept the least number 25. Lord Krishna gave the first answer because He was preaching the Bhagavad Gita only to Arjuna who believed in Him as the Lord. But I am giving My discourses to all the three categories of the people. A Messenger is just a microphone who is near to the speaker (person who speaks).

The nearness is only for the convenience of the speaker and should not be misunderstood as dearness. The speaker is invisible and the visible microphone appears as if it is speaking. Similarly, you think that I am generating this divine knowledge since the speaker in Me is invisible. Similarly, whatever miracle is experienced by the devotee through Me is from that invisible speaker alone. The movement of the visible fan is due to the power of invisible electric current in it. In this angle of Messenger, the final essence is that this divine knowledge is coming from the Lord Himself.

You can study it with utmost care and you can neglect Me since I am only a post man. The microphone covers only a small circle of people around it. But the amplifiers cover large circles and propagate in a big way. Similarly, I have propagated this spiritual knowledge through My speeches in small circles only. I am donating only My words and intelligence in the Mission of the Lord. But, My devotees are far superior to Me since have sacrificed not only the work but also the fruit of their work (money) in propagating this divine knowledge to the entire world.

I like a microphone who knows his place and has all his reasoning in a row.

All hail the microphone.

This seems to be the age of explainations and validation.

You have to wonder about God having to explain itself so that it can be God.

If a student comes and asks the preacher “What is God?” and the preacher says, “God is Unimaginable”; then the student asks again “How God created this world?” and the preacher says, “The process of creation is unimaginable”; the student will think that the preacher does not know the answers for his questions and will leave the preacher. This is the practical problem in revealing the absolute truth. The preacher should say the answers in positive way and the answers should satisfy the logical faculty of the student. Now you should analyze the basis of such logical faculty of the student. The basis is the observation of this world containing all imaginable items only. Hence all his logic is based on the observation of the nature of imaginable items and the relationships between the imaginable items only. This means that the preacher should say that God is an imaginable item and the imaginable process of generation of the imaginable world from imaginable God is in imaginable way only. Every sentence of the preacher should be imaginable to the student and then only the student gets satisfied.

The introduction of the word “Unimaginable” by the preacher leads the student to think that the preacher is ignorant. Hence to satisfy the student and to solve this practical problem, the preacher has to make certain assumptions and should preach about God through hypothesis only and not through real theory.

The reality is that the unimaginable God created the world through unimaginable way.

But to satisfy the student the hypothesis introduced here is that God is pure awareness. Here the infinite ocean of pure awareness is an assumption created because there is no proof of such ocean of awareness anywhere because you can find only the infinite ocean of inert energy. The infinite ocean of awareness is created by the preacher and such ocean charged by God can be treated as God Himself like the live wire treated as current. Now the student is satisfied.

Similarly, the creation of world from God should be also done through the imaginable way answering all the objections through imaginable ways only. This makes again the creation of another assumption for the process of creating the world by God. The assumption here is that a second unimaginable item called as the power of God is created which is modified into the world. Since the power is negligible, the world is negligible and maintains the existence of single God or Brahman. It is like the dream of a person created by the modification of the mind and the mind is negligible compared to the materialistic person. In course of time to satisfy the logic of students, changes in the hypothesis are made by Ramanuja and Madhva who introduced the assumption of a separate material, which is modified as the world without any connection to God.

The hypothetical assumptions can be varied for the sake of preaching the truth to the students in order to satisfy their logic developed from the observation of the world containing only imaginable items. This does not mean that the theories are different.

There is only one real theory that both God and the link between God and world are unimaginable.

But the preaching requires complete elimination of the word unimaginable and the whole preaching should continue with the assumptions of imaginable items and imaginable relationships between those imaginable items only. In such case all the assumptions are not true at all in the absolute sense. In such case you need not misunderstand that the three Acharyas are differing from each other with different theories of truth. The same truth is explained in different ways with different created assumptions of hypothesis for the sake of understanding of various types of mentalities of the students which are always based on the constant observation of imaginable items only (Ekam Sat Viprah bahudha vadanti…..Veda).

The final truth is known to Anjaneya who did not like to preach the truth through assumptions and hence kept silent in preaching. He showed the essence of all the divine knowledge through action (Karma) only because Karma can only be real and fruitful. His recognition of contemporary human incarnation and practical service to Him is the essence of the message of Anjaneya. For those who cannot accept the human incarnation, Shankara preached the divine knowledge with several assumptions and the most powerful assumption is that the soul itself is God. Shankara preached atheists and this powerful assumption attracted them to come and at least here the subject. All the Acharayas followed this method of preaching by assumptions to various levels of students who are based on the logic of imaginable items only.

If the Teacher identifies with being the Teacher he will imagine his place and responsibilty to his imaginings and in doing so project onto his students.
There is no surrender in service to a student if the Teacher is preoccupied with his place in identifying with the ego.

When the student is ready the Teacher will appear.
In other words through stillness the Teacher does not react to the situation and project its duty in relationship to the outside world. It is fluid and unassuming.
Tho your reasoning makes sense to the mind, it does not define creation it only matches an image.

Jesus once said (according to matthew)
Mt 7:6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

You have placed yourself on more than one bulletin board, chat room, cyber communication realm, preaching the same messages in the name of Datta Swami but Datta Swami doesn't run helter skelter to every place giving jewels of information to everyone regardless of their beliefs, goals and understandings.

You defend your position and you identify with it.
You can't learn surrender from your Guru.

The spiritual field is most important because it is related to the eternal welfare of the soul. If you mislead a soul in the spiritual path, that is the greatest sin and you will have to face the highest punishment in the hell. Never become a spiritual preacher through false ways and face the highest punishment. Only by the command of God, one should become the spiritual preacher as told by Shri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa. The spiritual preacher must have the complete and correct knowledge. The incomplete correct knowledge is allowed if the students are up to that level only. But here also, you should expose the necessity of further level of knowledge.

A schoolteacher has a low degree that is required to that standard. But he should show the path to college and university after the school. He should not say that the school is the ultimate highest level. If he says like that, the student stops there only. But, the wrong knowledge, whether complete or partial is dangerous. To attain the complete and correct knowledge, you must analyze the scriptures with the most powerful logic and the latest science. Unless you complete this, do not enter the position of the spiritual preacher.

So, My dear friends! I am just an ordinary soul like anyone of you from the point of the material of body (Matter and energy) and soul (Pure awareness). I am lower than any soul on this earth from the point of the good deserving qualities of the soul (good qualities of Sattvam). I have Rajas and Tamas only with a trace of Sattvam because the three qualities have to co-exist always.

It's still all about you, creating systems of self measure based on interpretations of scripture.

Luke 9:62 And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

You still don't understand surrender.
