The Thing I Like Best About You

I seem to think of the right thing to say
About a week later or maybe two
You always know what I mean anyway
This is the thing I like best about you

I lost my money I misplaced my mind
And trouble haunts and hunts me everywhere
The road is hard for those who walk it blind
Like me as I go without knowing where

But I like you and I think you like me
I might be wrong I know but I think so
I know everybody needs somebody
For a little company as they go

So never mind the meaning of it all
And what the hell we might as well just be
A couple of autumn leaves as we fall
Twisting in the wind but elegantly

Or eloquently if we wait a week
Or two but then we never need to speak
Because we know what we mean anyway
This is the thing I like best about you
