My partner had a serious reaction to a combination (all in the one capsule) of:
vinpocetine, centrophenoxine, aniracetam, oxiracetam, pyritinol, picamilon, idebenone, galantamine & huperzine A.

The reaction was:
-disturbed sleep where she felt extremely cold, her core temp was OK but her extremities were icy.
-a general sense of illness, lethargy, etc.
-a trip to the doctor and a liver function test led to the doctor stating she had the liver function of an alcoholic.
On discontinuing the nootropics the liver returned to normal.

I take the same combination from the same batch so I don't see it could have been a faulty batch and the dose wasn't high. I am unable to find anything on the net that relates to liver toxicity for these drugs.

What I want to do is safely eliminate the antagonist(s) from this mix. Does anyone have any clues on which may be causing the reaction?
LifeMirage
There are rare allergic reactions to Pyritinol that can cause these effects. While it's not directly liver damaging it can cause an acute increase in liver enzymes.

What brand contained all these compounds?

DavidS
It's by Smart Nutrition and it's called Get-Smart (sorry, this system won't allow me to post URLs yet)
These are the proportions:
Vinpocetine 10 mg

I highly recommand anyone who is taking many drugs together to use "Liv 52".. which is a natural "Ayurvadic" product and I have found it very helpful and reliable....it makes your liver work smoothly without problems more over it does not have any side effects....google it...

David I am also going to try the same drug GetSmart along with Deprenyl and Stablon and I am also going to use liv 52 will give you an update in few weeks...

I do not think it is a problem with this drug , it may be a mixture of many drugs ....well if you have some more details it may be helpful to understand....
