Inspired by two scientific studies below (will be posted later), I got inspired to give Centella a try, so I bought some seeds and they're germinating right now. After that, I plan on extracting the juice from the leaves with Green Star juicer, now, the only problem I'm having is what dosage I may use.
The studies have been performed on rats, 3 different groups, treated with 2, 4 and 6 ml of fresh leaf extract per kg of bodyweight. Results indicate that the high dosage had lower effects than lower dosage so I suppose it would not be healthy to 'overdose', then again a too low dose would not bring any significant results...
Still with me? The rats' brains weigh about 0,5% of the bodyweight in contrast to human, around 2%, so I suppose there must be a difference in effect using doses proportional to bodyweight. There may also be other factors I'm unaware of... When scientists are conducting studies of certain drugs, painkillers maybe, or psychoactive substances, how do they translate the dose for a rat to exactly equal dose for a human?
Any help would be much appreciated!
