i am trying to put together a collection of my poems, but i am having trouble coming up with an order to put them in...how do others select an order? i have broken them down into three sections, but the order within the sections needs work...if anyone has a suggestion, please let me know!!!!

Hi Manders!

I've been thinking about your question. I think Supani's reply is wise.

In the case of the books of poetry I've published, the poems have, in the case of each book, been arranged in simple chronological order. My poems are sort of like journal entries anyway, and I think about different things at different times, have different experiences, go through phases as it were. Having them appear simply in the order in which I wrote them, one after the other reflecting their own moment's particularity, works well for me.

thank you, both of you, i did settle on chronological i made a spread sheet and everything, i'm a bit of a geek, but thank you for your responses and your help!
