hello, :-/ ???
I am having trouble posting my poetry. I have my poetry saved to my pc to I just copy it and add the poem on the site here. I had a problem today with my poem titled Time With You, when I posted it there was some signs instead of words I didn't understand this so I tried to cut the signs out and rewrite the word somehow it has posted my poetry 4 times on the main board??? Also I would I new to this site so I would like to know how the sign new comes up instead of me writing it in all the time???? Im not familiar with that add yabbc tags is there a information place where I can learn how to works these tags????
any help would be greatly appreciated and administration I would like to know how to delete the 3 mistaken posts on that poem Time With You????

Hi, I think I can help you. When I cut and paste poems in to the poetry forum form my PC, I have the same problem. WHenever you have a word with an apostrophy, such as, "it's" the software copys the word to look something like this, "it%#&$;s". So, what I do is go into modify after I post my entry, and just delete al the nonsense! Maybe ther is an easier way to do this, I don't know, but that is what I do! Hope this helps.
As for the poem being posted too many times, maybe you can ask onShawn or one of the moderators of that forum to remove the extras!

Mary Lee, the reason why you get weird signs when you cut and paste is because some symbols, like apostrophes in Microsoft Word and other word processors, are represented in a strange way when you cut and paste to post here. Â The best thing to do is to cut and paste your poem into Notepad or other text editor first (this gets rid of the wierd signs from apostrophes and other symbols from Microsoft Word), and then cut and paste from Notepad to your post here. Â If for some reason, you get strange symbols in Notepad, then use the Replace function to search for the particular symbols and replace them with an empty space or whatever the appropriate symbol is.
If this doesn't work, or if you have any other questions, please let me know.
