Hey Hey
soleil

soleil, hanging from a chain of flowers
at the end, alone, this time is ours
a heart-warmed stream of amber glow
will pass by, the world, the night, and we will know
when strings do sooth, all secrets seen in eyes
as raising, open hands and arms, to skies

nothing can surpass these moments in the history
yet now, still as ever, keeps the mystery
the limpid pools of life, an open book, this kind
hanging, pensive, for the dust of flesh and mind
can ne’er return or cast an invitation to the moon
yet, stirring in the depths of soul might ask so soon

please then, oh timepiece of the only world we know
if there be more to touch, but douse the sun and show

"...oh timepiece of the only world we know": how I love this line in particular and the sonnet in general.

It's beautiful, and plaintive, and speaks not even so much to as WITH my heart.

Thank you, my dear friend.

Love,

+Stevie
