Hey Hey
I use Powerpoint 2004 on the Mac. Does anyone know how to remove all the text animations in a presentation in one go? I've tried most things but no joy. I'm supposing that this feature is absent. Please ... only suggest if you know that it works, not that you think it ought to work.

I use neither. Sorry

Have you tried

Otherwise, I'm no help because I don't use Powerpoint.

I think those animations are annoying too. I prefer content to flashiness. I don't think there's a way to remove them all in one command. I think you have to go to each page and turn them off as described at

Hey Hey
Thanks for your responses. It's much as I thought, you can't stop them all in one go. So much for productivity efficiency! What a repetitive strain/pain!
Rick
The hard-learned solution is not to use those "features".
Hey Hey
I gather that Office 2007 has the facility to mass delete animations. Not much help to me though! I've learned my lesson!

I've had a look but can't see such a capability. You can use animation templates though, which would allow all animations to change by changing the template - still a big rework I guess!

Hey Hey,

Enter Slide Show -> then Animation Schemes -> on the right side a screen named Slide Design will appear -> select No Animation, -> then at the bottom of the new screen press Apply to All Slides.

It must work.
Hey Hey
Just to remind:

I use Powerpoint 2004 on the Mac.

Sorry I forgot about that.

Through it away and buy a normal computer. smile.gif

Maybe you will convert the file for normal PowerPoint, then turn off the animation options as I have mentioned above, and then reconvert it back for Mac? It should work.

Aside from Office 2007 I don't believe that even other PC versions allow this function. It's just bad programming. Keynote for the Mac has the facility. I will have to use it for my presentations. Soon I will be using all Mac programs. That's not necessarily a bad thing - much more fun!

I dislike Mac programs as I always encounter many problems related with files conversion.

I think Intel Dual Core is much better.

I prepare lectures at home on a Mac (always have, ~20 years) and present at university on various PC's. I rarely have a problem, especially with MS Office, that to date has crossed platforms uneventfully. If I do, it is usually because the PC's do not have the latest software. The problem in this post relates to an innate inadequacy with a MS Powerpoint program. Hopefully the next Mac version will have the feature. In the meantime I have found a solution - I open the Powerpoint file in my Mac program "Keynote", remove the animations in one fell swoop, and then save the file in a Powerpoint format. Apple to the rescue again! No need for Intel, as my PowerPC does it fine. What a pity MS can't do programming, or art or fun! And Apple's are getting cheaper by the minute. I see a fruity future ...

I see. Here people are using different programs and very often file converting is needed. But anyway I consider Microsoft-Intel Tandem as the nicest one.
As far as I know Mac and Apple’s markets are not expanding, though they still are considered elite brands, esp. Apple.
Hey Hey
iPhone you as soon as iGetOne!

I would disagree--itunes? Almost anyone who listens to music has come across their brand. Mac is an increadibly strong brand, and I suspect with the superiority of their new line of powerbooks their market share must grow.
